Set the Catfish Down

Wow. That's some catfish. And the man seems very happy to be holding it.

There's a reason why we don't wear short shorts, even while fishing. There are just some places fish slime wasn't meant to ... slime.

Disturbing on so many levels...

This is no american catfish, but a european wels catfish of the species Silurus glanis.
In general they are catched with baitfish, and not with the hands.

Thanks for the info, KFK. The thought of going into murky water and intentionally encouraging a creature of unknown size to latch onto a body part boggles the mind.
I've been afraid of the water ever since Jaws in 1976.

*SHUDDER* Having just read the link on "Noodling" I have to wonder exactly WHAT body part this guy was using to get this giant fish.

*shudder again*

Ugly and jsut plain wrong, in OH so many WAYS!

I honestly don't see any proof of any kind of undergarment on that man. Which brings me to my all important question - if he was noodling, what was he using to noodle ?
