I have no idea if this fish was actually found in Utah or if biologists are actually trying to identify it. I don't know how large it is or how dessicated its corpse is. But I am curious to know what it is. Too often these images are floated about the web like so much flotsam, with no ID ever being arrived at. I know you'll do better.
Thanks for the photos, Jelo.

Flattened dried out walleye? They've been introduced at Utah Lake according to the source of all knowledge Wikipedia.
It looks to be a rather un-happy (somewhat) flattened florda or alligator gar. The nasty buggers get over 6 feet long
It looks alot like the lovely fellows in the pictures in the links.(the fish ,not the men)

Oooo. looks like a crocodile fish thing.
Looks similiar to the snakehead fish in a slightly earlier post, defleshed some. And meaner looking...
I don't know what it is, but if I caught that thing I would cut bait and run....
I think it looks more like some photoshopped a picture of an alligator so it looked like that, and then made a phony news report about it.
Or something.
