Tell Me It Isn't True

I am no photoshop expert. But I'm hoping that this is doctored. I don't know if I can live in a world in which butterfly sandwiches are served and eaten. Photo source: Knuttz.net

That is...without a doubt...the most photoshopped picture I've ever seen. ;-)

it is well done but it still looks mildly faked.
Look at the direction of the light (shadow) under the hands and then look at the left of the butterfly, see the black shadow on the little wing?

A for effort, even put wing powder on the cheek, hehe almost convinced me at first glance!

I'm fairly convinced it's edited.

I think this is photoshopped.
The butterfly seems to be an Atlas moth (attacus atlas) or some specimen related to this family. Their wing span is about 20-30 cm (7,8-11,8 inches. )So the size of this butterfly in the picture is about right. Still, I think that it is photoshopped, because there is no point in eating the wings, which are powdery and contain no nutriments. You eat insects for the tasty proteins, which are found in the body... ;)
And as anaonymous aready pointed out, some of the shadows are not right. It´s not badly made though.
Regards, Simone

Butterflies are not good eatin'. You definitely don't want those stiff, bitter wings in your mouth (I was once attacked by a kamikaze Monarch).

And there goes my dinner, photoshopped or not. *throws up hands*

Looks kinda like a Cicropia (sp?) Moth I have...

I am SO glad that I’m convinced this is fake because that would have been one of so immensely wasteful and stupid, for all the reasons mentioned. If you save that picture and then open it with Windows, you can enlarge it enough to see that certain key areas are suspiciously blurry.

Birds, spiders an all the smart animals that actually would love to get their mouth-parts on a nice, big moth will snip-off the wings before consumption. This isn’t one of those situations where we are looking at a cultural difference (ie – tarantulas-as-snacks-in Thailand).

There are bites missing from the sandwich but not from the butterfly! She's already eaten a good fifth of that burger. Yup, a fake.

clearly photoshopped ... notice the nibble marks around the top of the burger bun, but not on the wings? those wings would have been nibbled away with the bun if it were real. plus it would have been dumb to eat a butterfly when there are more delicious animals out there :)

not to mention that that is obviously a pre-photoshopped big-mac.

who ever edited this picture was quite lazy and didn't see the trouble of cropping the hamburger properly, leaving it with blurry edges. Also the lighting on the butterfly differs from the harburger and diner. Not to mention the resolution in the picture which the butterfly is taken from. Also when you look at the focus and the shadow the buuterfly leaves, you can see they´re both quite unnatural.
