Camels won't win any beauty contests, and they don't seem to mind. This one seems to have gone out of his way to show off his looks. He's eating with his mouth full, sporting a mohawk, and is basking in the sun, for all the world to see. This could almost be a dramatic photo, except for ... well, it's a camel.

You try walking across the burning and blowing sands of the desert, under the blazing sun, and without water and you'll look a helluva lot worse than that camel - if you survive.
You would have a different characterization of the appearance of that camel if you depended on it for your own survival in the harsh conditions of the desert.
I like the pictures in this blog but I don't agree that they are ugly. The name of the blog should be "Beautiful Animals".
It's "ugly" to make fun of innocent animals who have enough trouble surviving the depredations of humankind. Diminishing the value of animals by making fun of them by calling them ugly will only make people value them less and make it harder for them to survive.
Maybe the bloggers should post their own picutes so readers can comment on how ugly they are?
Yikes. It's called humor (or a poor attempt at it). Lighten up, anonymous commenters.
True fact, wombat.
I'm sure anonymous is setting up a website right now that will put yours to shame. (I wouldn't go holding my breath as to its launch-date, though...)
Yes, bats, I've been waiting for anonymous's unveiling of his/her uber-website. But, I can't seem to find it. Anonymous is surprisingly hard to find.
Isn't there already a site out there that is diametrically opposed to mine?
Baby camels are the cutest things ever...they don't age gracefully.
