The Hyena Men

Here are some more photos of the Gadawan Kura, aka the Hyena Men, a group of entertainers in Africa who specialize in parading about some of Africa's wildlife.

I wonder who underwrites their insurance policies? I wonder if the little girl's mother knows atop what beast she lies. I'm all for the entrepreneurial spirit, and I'm glad these guys have turned to this instead of joining one of the many warlord bands who are actively recruiting. I just hope they know what they're doing.

Yikes. Seeing animals in chains is not much better than seeing people in chains. The baboon looks chummy but what's the stick for? :S

This is heights of atrocity. I can't imagine these guys go around free.

It's sad to see the animals in chains, but I like that you put it in perspective - They're not roving around killing people or the numbers of other atrocities you hear out of nigeria. It's a tough life I can't begin to understand and those images are moving.

This is sad. Primates are becoming extinct and yet there are people that support this kind of activities.

Whatever you do, don't give the baboon Xanax!

Wow, those people are ugly! Poor beautiful animals with them, what a shame.

You are all crackheads. You sit back in your air condition rooms with a view of what you have come to distinguish as YOUR sensory reality. You have the nerve to pass judgment on a culture somewhat different than your own. "animals in chains" ..etc. You are all full of sH1t. Let's compare what is seen in these photographs to the "atrocities" we take as culture such as the worship of money (pale horse), the perpetual worldwide conquest of imposing western ideology, the complete fcking of the environment with our fossil fuel obsession, or our love of all things unrighteous (cars, clothes, feeling we are smarter than we really are, guns, or simply put (here in the south) reaganomics. Please quite down, the dead spirits of the slaves upon which this country was built may awake and check your a$$ on your complete unadulterated b.s.
