Er, his name was Minazo, not Minoza. Just as a heads up. I think you spelled it Minoza in the last blog about him, too.
I has a mixed feelin o' loss 'n happiness when I looked at de photos. 'Specially seal has a necklace and weird ass cake-amathingee.

The "necklace and weird ass cake-amathingee" are traditional Japanese New Years' decorations.
Googling for "Minazo" (now that I've got it right myself) and "LOLrus" brings up a few interesting tidbits and more pics. Did you know he was the subject of a series of albums? You can see the covers and find more details on Wikipedia, and you can even get T-shirts based on the cover art from the albums' publishers (Important Records).
Thanks billywitchdoctor! That makes me enjoy it all the more: I has a enthusiasm for New Years! Still, I'm sad I'm discovering this magnificent star after he has already passed.
I'm also just now seeing the small seal in the first three photos and feeling like a seven-year-old little sister again. My brother couldn't even touch his head to his ass. I have no idea what it must have been like to be second fiddle to that.
