Portal Unearthed

I'm surprised this hasn't received any news coverage. But evidently, we've unearthed the Portal to Hell. And, not to my surprise, it appears to be guarded by countless daddy-long-legs (harvestmen).

  2. "Look Deeply Into The Abyss, And It Will look Back At You"...

...and if you look deep enough, you can find the lamprey from a few posts back relaxing in his easy chair in a red velvet dinner jacket, sipping on a brandy snifter full of virgin's blood.

And watching Japanese animated tentacle-romance movies, of course...

  5. AAGHH! Why can I not unsee what I have seen?! And should I ever see that many daddy longlegs in one place at one time, I'm afraid I will have to create EyeBleach... and then use it on myself.

  6. AAAAIGH!!!

... Lex -- yeah, the "ugly cry." Definitely got that. It's kinda the opposite noise of the noise you make when you see something REEALLY cute, although it almost sounds similar.

    Hey, I'm Kit(t) too... ;)

Actually, introducing 'ugly cry' into this world is all Oprah's work...!

    Kit: try this one http://icanhascheezburger.com/2008/02/27/funny-pictures-cannot-be-unseen/

  9. Um . . . . where's Arachnophile? Is this her house? That's not an insult, I assume she likes this sort of thing. It's just been hella long since she's peeped up.

Also, this reminds me of the time I was hanging clothes on the line and I picked up a clothespin from a wooden basket that was on the cement walkway and picked up clothespin and a squirming earwig between my fingers! Icky! I tipped it over and hopped back with both feet and a MFING BIBLICAL FLOOD of earwigs poured out of the basket in every direction. I lost some of my childhood that day. Ugh. All striped and pinchers on their asses. Nastyyyyyyy.

  11. What is this? Some sort of annual arachnid migration? Why would they congregate in these numbers, they're not social animals... right?

  12. why is it whenever i see a picture with many spiders, i suddenly feel every single thing on my body? itches, tingles, the feeling there is a bug crawling across my foot, etc.

this definitely gives me the jibblies, especially to think there is a lamprey on the other side

  15. This appears to be a photoshopped image of the harvestman aggregate photo posted earlier on this blog.

  16. Theodosia -- harvestmen will congregate and "pump" their legs up and down as a defense. Apparently most of the animal kingdom has the same reaction to seeing a whole bunch of dancing harvestmen as we do. ("AAIGGH! Run away, run away!")

I hadn't noticed the 'Shoppiness before though ... Guess I didn't want to stare at the picture long enough to figure it out O.o

  17. I always look at the picture first and thén read the text... Maybe I should start doing that the other way 'round, cause I was totally puzzled by this pic...

  18. OMG I was actually MISSED?!

    *Hugs BOOGE* *sniff* lol

Someone got me World of Warcraft for Christmas... Ugh, my journey into complete, supreme and even ROYAL Geek-Status is complete.

I'm so glad I made it back in time to see this puppy. You all know how much I love our various eight-legged friends but even my skin crawls a little staring into that! It's visually pretty derned interesting though, don't you think? You totally can't tell what direction is what. Put's me in mind of Quake. Lols to the tenticle animation thing though. :D

It does kind of look like a 4-walled version of the same picture we saw a while back. It' wouldn't be hard to do really. Really cool no matter how you cut it. :D

  20. If I saw this, bodily fluids would pour out of every orifice of my body at the same time, while attempting to run away.
