Just to prove the whole hairless = ugly theme, here is a baby rat. I happen to think that your average adult pet rat isn't ugly. But they sure do produce some ugly babies. Aren't babies meant to be cute?
Rats, hear me now. You could really improve your vermin image if you began producing cute babies. You'll never learn, will you?

Hey, they only look like this for the first few days ! They develop skin pigment by about day 3, and are covered in shiny new fur by day 7. Even lots of rats that will eventually be hairless grow fur as babies, only to have it fall out as they mature.
