Sleepy Lizard

Anyone know what kind of lizard this is? Looks like an iguana, maybe one of the marine varieties of the Galapagos Islands. It's got some impressive knobbage going on, with the knobs on the top of the head and the goiters/sacs for jowls. Whatever it is, it looks content. Let sleeping lizards lie, especially when they look like dinosaurs.

Thanks for the photo, Jeroen van Weeren.

Somehow, I've always found sleeping lizards to be a strangely comforting, warming sight. Even if the lizard itself isn't that much to look at.

He's got his own, built-in pillow.

I love taking pictures of my iguana sleeping. He doesn't have awesome built in pillows, but sometimes he folds his hands over each other and rests his head down. When someone comes in the room, he's all child-like in that he slowly peeks out from one eyelid, sees someone there and quickly closes it. I'd like to try that with this guy and lie on his pillow.

Didja notice the horn/tusk/bony excrescence thingy poking out just above his pillow? Yikes...
