ReplyDeleteI have actually seen this before. The people of Africa...um, well, the dangerous militant people of Africa often have these as pets. They scare and intimidate people in villages they terrorize....as if the machine guns weren't enough....
ReplyDeletethe egyptians tried taming hyenas for a while (when you're around that long you try EVERYTHING) -individually they might respond to it but not as a whole. definately on the nice to look at from the other side of an eight foot fence list.

Hyenas are -too- badass. At least pit bulls can be trained, worked with. Like Jynxkat said - they're wild animals, and they can never be fully tamed/trained. They don't belong on leashes. :/

I have been researching the spotted hyena for the past few years and they can be tamed, it just bothers me that you all are such narrow minded people who cash in on the common misconseption of the species.
