This baby ring-tailed lemur has been nick-named Gollum. Please, people, let's give this little one the benefit of the doubt. I really don't see how a baby primate from Madagascar could get its hands on any Ring of Power, much less the One Ring. Let's not resort to speculative name calling.
Thanks for the link, Rachel.

Bless its little heart! I'm sure he will *pretty up* as he grows older!
ReplyDeleteI saw the first photo of the little lemur on the stuffed tiger and thought, "Aw, he's not so bad."
ReplyDeleteBut, when I scrolled down to the second picture, I definitely experienced the ugly. Poor little thing.
Agree with above...I was like awww he's cute and then second picture, not so much. He's one of those, so ugly he's cute type of thing...it's a stage!!! We've all had an ugly stage.
ReplyDeleteOMG - I almost named my dog Gollum when she was a pup. She could be cousins with this lol' guy.
ReplyDeleteI think he's adorable, in that ugly kind of way.
That's a cute, if slightly terrifying, picture.
ReplyDeleteFound you via like interest in LDS.
I think he's more of a gremlin.
ReplyDeleteAny dogs named "Dobby?"
Dobby would be a great name for a French Bulldog!
ReplyDeleteAdult lemurs are so cute. This little guy must be in transition. Patchy fur, bug eyes, and scrawny limbs: not the image of cute yet. If his ears were a lttle pointy, I'd swear he was a gremlin too!

Had to comment to answer Jack - my old neighbor had a mexican hairless named Kreacher. Unfortunately, most people thought she'd named him "Creature" and were less than thrilled.
ReplyDeleteBecause I'm sort of a jackass, I thought it was hilarious.
I think it's cute just like it is.
ReplyDeleteGollum is PERFECT for it :)
