Check out dermatonotus muelleri, better known as Mueller's Termite Frog. I'm having a hard time finding anything out about this amphibian aside from the fact that it probably eats termites. That's a good thing (unless you're a termite). But that bottom photo looks disturbingly like a trio of frogs set in 9x13 pan. I hope there's no casserole planned for dinner.
Thanks for the links, Rasmus.

Holy crap I want one.
Am I the only one who looks at the coloration on those frogs, and is reminded of a late-60's-era glass ashtray...? Like the kind your grandmother would have had on her Formica coffee table?

anyone who's an enemy of termites is a friend of mine
and yes they do look like ashtrays
Man, how cool are these guys!!
And as much as they DO look like those 60s ashtrays, I think you're right, Wombat. The bottom pic looks like some chicken breasts that were left in the back of the frig for about a year and are now waiting for some cream of mushroom soup to cover them up.
And a sprinkle of grated cheddar...
Why do I get the sinking feeling these guys are on a menu...
That is the coolest stained-green color EVAH!
Cuisine a la Dudley Moore and Peter Cook on a very early SNL: the unsuccessful restaurant served both Frog a la Peche (a large bullfrog with a ripe, juicy peach in its mouth), and Peche a la Frog (a succulent peach filled with a generous helping of wriggling tadpoles)...
MMmmmm....good eatin'!
THIS is why I love frogs.
*happy dance*
So cool.
