It's Time for...

... more idolomantis diabolica.

If you want to keep one as a pet, check out this link. Here's the real kicker, though: they only eat flying insects. You can't feed them the usual mealworms or crickets. So unless you are willing to catch flies and skeeters yourself, don't bother. You'll soon have a dead idolomantis on your hands.

  2. heh,

I was wondering if you were going to put any of them up. I thought that some of these ones from my try to convince you he was real were actually better

  3. That is one of the most beautiful mantids I've ever seen!

(Mantids are my personal fave bug, along with jumping spiders!)

  7. I LOVE THIS CREATURE! *soo beastieful...* *drool* :D

Denita - I think we may, in fact, have been separated at birth. The first time I saw a mantid in field school (don't have them here in this far NW) I cried. Yes, CRIED! Call that flakie if you wish but they are that magnificent.

Jumping spiders are my ultimate fave. :)
